Couple Share Intriguing Footage From Their Stay In Glass Hotel Room—Totally Exposed And Vulnerable

In the world of travel, where destinations are often portrayed through filtered lenses and well-curated experiences, it’s easy to forget that not every adventure goes as planned. Sometimes, the thrill of stepping into the unknown can leave you feeling exposed—quite literally.

This was the case for Margaret and Corey Bienert, seasoned travelers and the creative minds behind the TikTok account A Pretty Cool Hotel Tour. Known for showcasing unique and offbeat accommodations, the couple decided to take on the ultimate test of privacy: a stay in a glass hotel room.

Their destination was the Paradiso Hotel in Ibiza, a place famed for its bold, artistic flair. But nothing could have prepared them for the sheer vulnerability they felt upon entering their room—a transparent box situated in the lobby, where every moment was on display for all to see.

With no curtains or walls to provide a sense of seclusion, Margaret and Corey quickly realized they were in for a night like no other.

In their now-viral TikTok video, Margaret candidly recounts the experience, admitting that despite their enthusiasm for quirky stays, this one caught them off guard.

The glass room was more than just a quirky lodging—it was a lesson in pushing boundaries and embracing discomfort, all in the name of adventure.

"When I say glass box hotel room, I mean a literal glass box in the lobby of the hotel. We were super unprepared for the experience," Margaret explained, adding that she had only a vague idea of what they were getting into when they first arrived.

"All I knew going into this was that when you book it, you can stay for free for one night, and I thought it was such a funny idea, so of course I wanted to try it," she continued.

In the video, Margaret and Corey are seen lying in bed inside the glass room, while other hotel guests casually walk around and hang out in the surrounding lobby.

It didn't take long for the couple to notice some less-than-ideal aspects of their stay. "We found out the lights never turn off, and you're basically on display all night long," Margaret explained, as the video captured a guest taking a photo of them trying to sleep.

"Then I realized this is an art hotel, so whoever is sleeping in that room for the night is just part of the night," she added, before offering advice for anyone considering their own stay in the glass room.

"Here are a couple of ideas I wish I had prepared for last time to entertain the guests, instead of just feeling completely vulnerable in there all night," she said.

Margaret's creative entertainment ideas included performing Taylor Swift's entire Eras Tour setlist, doing a live painting, and displaying a sign offering to kiss anyone through the glass for a $5 fee.

In her video, which has already garnered nearly 2 million views, she wrapped up by saying, "Either way, it just feels like there is so much room for creativity in this room — unfortunately, I was just unprepared. So I have to leave it up to a future guest to do one or two of these things so yeah, let me know if you try it."

However, in the comments, it seemed that very few of the couple's followers were eager to take on the glass room experience.

In a follow-up video, Margaret responded to some pressing questions, reassuring her followers that the glass room does indeed come with a private bathroom, including a shower and toilet.

She also clarified that the room isn't entirely soundproof, meaning that not only could other guests hear her and Corey, but they could also hear all the lobby noise from within the room.

"So you definitely need ear plugs, eye mask, all of that," Margaret advised.

While they may have felt unprepared and exposed, the experience ultimately added a memorable chapter to their travel journey.

The glass hotel room, with all its quirks and challenges, became a symbol of what it means to truly embrace the unknown. As Margaret and Corey reflect on their unique stay, it's evident that the most unforgettable travel stories often arise from stepping outside their comfort zone, taking risks, and allowing themselves to be vulnerable to whatever surprises the world has in store.
