We've all heard of nail art, but have you ever seen eyelid art? Well, if you haven't, you've come to the right place!

Tal Peleg is a super-talented makeup artist who went viral for creating incredible works of art, using eyelids as her canvas. Her designs are tiny and extremely detailed.

Tal's art often features scenes from TV shows or movies, pop culture references, or cute animals. The amazing artist says she can find inspiration almost anywhere.

"I always loved art and makeup, so painting on the eye was my way of mixing these passions. I use the eyelid as a canvas to tell a story and to inspire people," she said.

"I started many years ago by painting animals and fairy tales on the eyes. And over time, my eye art has become more and more detailed and challenging."

Tal explained a little more about herself. "I am Tal, and I live in Israel. I'm married and have a 3-year-old son now," she said.

"Art has always been part of my life, and it's very important for me to create. My artistic journey is long, and the eye art project was the longest part - five years."

Currently, Tal is working as a designer and giving sculpting a try. "I used to be a makeup artist and play with makeup a lot," she explained.

"At the beginning, my eye looks were more abstract, but over time, they turned more and more figurative and detailed. My favorite part was creating them; I loved every part of the process. My least favorite part was taking it off!"

The process behind each of Tal's looks is very detailed. "First, I need to think about an idea, and then I sketch it on paper," she says.

"After that, I start to paint it on the eye using makeup. It takes about 3-5 hours, depending on how detailed it is."

"After I finish, I take many photos of it. Eventually, I pick the best one and take the makeup off," Tal continued.

"I had good potential from the beginning when I started to play with makeup as a teenager, and I kept on developing this skill. I think people can always get better, no matter how far they come," Tal said.

So, does Tal have a favorite look? "The cat with the purple yarn is one of the first works and is very meaningful for me for several reasons," she said.

Sadly, Tal has stopped creating the intricate looks. She was exhausted from the pressure of her popularity and success.

"There were several reasons why I stopped, mainly because I felt it's best to stop at the top. I felt like after five years, I got a bit tired of it, and the need 'to deliver' to my many followers was sometimes too stressful," she explained.

"I got to the point where I felt like I was not creating from a pure artistic place anymore like I should have." That seems entirely fair enough if you ask us!
