Canadian Artist Brings A Ton Of Personality To Her Whimsical Disney Fan Art

For over a decade, Emilia89 has been creating digital art and sharing it on social media, drawing in thousands of followers and fans who appreciate her style and skill combo. Hailing from Canada and self-identifying as Polish, Emiliar89 is clearly a huge fan of Disney (especially princesses like Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Ariel from The Little Mermaid, and classics like Snow White,) and also a major fan of Sailor Moon.

It's not uncommon for fans of Disney to find themselves just as obsessed with other major media niche categories like video games or anime (for example,) and sometimes that inspires talented artists to create really clever, creative, and cool crossover artwork bringing worlds together. While Emilia89 hasn't necessarily done much crossover work when it comes to her Disney fan art, once you start following her on social media you will not be surprised to see the occasional crossover concepts come and go.

Emilia89's Disney fan art is truly fantastic, featuring crisp details and beautiful colors. As Disney fans, you will surely find yourself appreciating both the adorable illustrations and the content geared more towards adult Disney fans.

3. "Ariel's Peace"

"I painted this and printed it on a 16x20 canvas for my sister for Christmas this year. A few of her favorite things in life is the ocean, sunsets, and The Little Mermaid, so the idea behind this painting was for it to bring her a sense of peace when she needs it most.

I definitely hit the jackpot because it made her cry when she unwrapped it."

In addition to the variety of colorful illustrations she has created, Emilia89 also has a series of whimsical pinup-style Disney Princesses that are totally worth checking out. When Disney fans grow up from children to adults, it's not uncommon for the artistically inclined to bring some more adult concepts to their Disney favorites.

It's not the first time and it probably won't be the last time we see a talented artist turn our favorite Disney characters into exotic-looking women. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but lots of Disney fans enjoy seeing their favorite characters re-created in a wide variety of ways, including the more unexpected ways!

Disney fan art is a world of its own, filled with endless possibilities where the only limit is the individual imaginations of the creators who bring their visions to reality. As Disney fans, the magic of enjoying Disney fan art is how it helps us continuously experience our favorite characters and stories in a variety of ways and that's why as long as there is both Disney and art, there will be an audience for Disney fanart.
