Ariana Grande recently sought to resolve a longstanding misunderstanding with the iconic Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, following a revelation about an awkward celebrity encounter. Elvira, whose real name is Cassandra Peterson, was asked about her worst celebrity encounters, and she mentioned Ariana Grande in response.

The situation occurred approximately seven years ago when Ariana attended one of her shows with a sizable entourage. According to Elvira, the pop star arrived with 20 friends and family members, requesting 21 tickets for the show.

"She came and she brought 20 guests," Elvira recalled during a Q&A at Knott's Berry Farm in California on October 18. After the performance, Ariana came backstage with her guests and asked Elvira to take photos with them, “She asked if I could take pictures with all of her friends and relatives she brought.”

Elvira kindly took photos and signed autographs for each of Grande's guests. However, when Elvira requested a picture with Ariana, she declined, leaving Elvira surprised and somewhat disappointed.

Elvira's recollection of the event sparked widespread attention, but Ariana's heartfelt apology has helped clear the air. In an apology, Ariana expressed her regret, stating, "I sincerely apologize for offending you so."

Both parties seem eager to move forward after addressing the incident, with the misunderstanding now firmly in the past.

“I say to her, ‘Can we take a photo together?’” said Elvira. “And she goes, ‘No, I don’t really do that.’ And then she left before my show started. All her relatives stayed, and she took off.”

In response to Elvira's claims, Ariana surprised many by addressing the situation and sharing her perspective in a polite and thoughtful manner

She explained that the incident had occurred during a difficult time for her and ensured that her version of events was also acknowledged.

“I’m so disheartened to see this. I actually don’t even remember getting the chance to meet you because I had an anxiety attack and to my memory, left before the rest of my family (this was around 7 years ago and at the time I was really not great with being in public crowds or loud places),” Ariana explained.
