The photographer behind these portraits, Serenah Hodson, has a gift for capturing dogs in their goofiest moments. With this project called The Upside of Dogs, Hodson did an incredible job capturing the adorable quirkiness of a pup.

Dogs are so cute when lying on their back, with all their fur flopping down and paws waving in the air. Hodgson says that the inspiration for this concept came from her bulldog who sleeps in this silly fashion.

The dogs featured come in all shapes and sizes, which shows the universal fondness that dogs have for this pose. Each dog is enjoying the comfort of a cushy mattress while playfully looking back at the camera, waiting for a belly rub.
