Some time ago, a woman named Jolie Meja and her family chose to visit Punta Negra, which is a small community on the seaside close to their home in Peru. And right there, along a rough shore overlooking the sea, they came to find out about a story of affection in its most flawless structure.

After Mejía and her family chose to settle down along the shore, their attention was drawn to a random dog who had all the signs of being there alone. Mejía said that the dog didn't appear to be abandoned as he had clean fur and a ribbon around his neck.

Mejía petted him and hung tight for his owner, but some time passed and nobody came. The dog played with Mejía's pets, but his gaze stayed fixed on the sea.

But not long after, Mejía came to know why the dog always looked out to sea. Mejía, along with her family, thought about adopting the dog if he truly had been abandoned.

That was when a man in the neighborhood who knew the area strolled by, and Mejía inquired as to whether he knew about the dog. He said that basically everybody in the area knows the dog and is exceptionally fond of him.

He let Mejía and her family know that the dog's owner was a fisherman who had already passed away, so the dog consistently comes to the seaside and gazes out to the waters.

Mejía and her family were extremely touched, and she believes that the dog’s proprietor passed away about a year prior, and ever since then, the dog has been looking out for him every day.

Mejía loves dogs in general, and she has a dog as well, so the dog’s story truly touched her heart.

By the end of the day, Mejía and her family finally left Vaguito, and his eyes were still focused on the waters. Anyway, his heartbreaking story is one of loyalty to an affection that he lost and the love and care he found in the community, which is a memory he will probably remember forever.
