30+ Dog Parents Who Badly Need A Break From Their Precious Puppies

Parenting is no easy task, we know it and no one knows this better than parents. No amount of maternity or paternity leave seems to be enough time to both spend with your new baby and take a break yourself as well.

If you think that human parents are the only ones who need a break every now and then, you couldn't be more wrong. You only need to see the exhausted dogs below to prove just how much work it takes to care for their pups.

Female dogs are typically pregnant for about 62 to 64 days. The gestational period also depends on the breed of your furry companion and if you're vigilant about monitoring the actual date of conception.

Unlike in humans where a fetus has 9 months to fully form, in dogs, the growth is rapid. They grow to double their size every 7 days in the early stages of a dog's pregnancy.

It isn't until the second month of the gestational period that the dogs become recognizable as puppies in the womb. Towards the end of the 60 days, the puppies are then ready to be born.

The real work begins when the puppies are there. So many things can go wrong still but the human owners and the dog parents work together to keep the litter safe; the amount of work is visible in these dogs' faces who are just begging for a break from their adorable yet tiring newborns.
