Disabled Dog Dumped By His Cruel Owner Twice In One Day Has Finally Found His Forever Family

Dogs don't deserve it, but the unfortunate reality is that there are nasty, evil people in this world who mistreat man's best friend. It's stories like these that remind us the truth: we don't deserve dogs.

We don't like to cover these kinds of sad stories unless the ending is a happy one. Thankfully, this sweet dog's story is one of those!

Earlier this year, a horrific video of a disabled dog being left on the road's side went viral. The video understandably left people disgusted and angry, as well as sad for the dog.

The footage of the dog being intentionally abandoned was captured in Sao Leopoldo, Brazil. The unthinkable act is believed to have taken place around a year and a half ago.

The video shows a car pulling up on an abandoned street, and a woman dragging a three-legged dog out of the vehicle. She then proceeds to shove the dog aggressively to the side of the road and drives away.

Thankfully, just one day after the video was posted online, the three-legged dog was identified.

The dog had been taken in by the Patas Geurreras animal charity, where they renamed him TinTin. Later on, it was discovered that TinTin had been abandoned twice on that same day.

After being dumped the first time, a woman found him and brought him back home, thinking he was lost. Only for his cruel owners to then dump him once again.

Luckily, the dog was found by someone else and taken to an animal sanctuary.

TinTin was cared for by the staff at Patas Guerreras. And, shortly after, the adorable pup found his new, loving owners.

The charity says TinTin is now doing exceptionally well and being showered with the love and affection he deserves.

Police managed to track down TinTin's previous owners, who admitted they had abandoned the dog.

Anderson Ribeiro, from the Secretariat of Animal Protection in Sao Leopoldo, passed all the information over to police, who have confirmed an investigation on the charge of animal abuse.

The penalty for animal abuse in Brazil ranges from three months to a year in jail and a fine.
