Affectionate Dog Has Two Disabilities But Neither Of Them Get In The Way Of How Much Love He Gives

Dogs are some of the most wholesome animals on the planet. That's no surprise. Somehow, they're constantly exceeding our expectations when it comes to the level of compassion they can reach.

As humans, it is our duty to be kind, loving, gentle, and caring to these adorable loving animals.

Sheryl Smith has done just that for years now! She's made it her life's mission to rescue the unwanted and put love and light back into their wounded souls. And, that just so happens to be how she found her incredible dog, Shiro!

Shiro is deaf and partially blind, but he has become Sheryl's sidekick when it comes to fostering animals.

Such a sweet face.

Meet Shiro!

He has been adopted 4 different times, to only be returned shortly after. He's been in 2 shelters, and 12 different foster homes.

My goodness!

He spent 2 long years searching for his forever home. But once he got to his last foster home, he finally got the chance to stay.

YAY!

“He was a handful but everyone else had given up on him and we weren’t prepared to do that too,” Smith spoke of beloved dog Shiro.

Her first status revealing Shiro's compassionate nature.

This. Is. Too. Much!

Sadly enough, Shiro has been abandoned by so many in his life, that he now suffers from crippling anxiety.

The happiness is just radiating!

“He still to this day cries in the car because he thinks he’s being dropped off somewhere else.” Sheryl admitted.

Although Shiro's ways haven't changed, and he is still very much a handful.

Shiro helps to care for the foster pets that Sheryl brings home. Even though he can hardly see, and cannot hear the animals they foster together, his love is always bold and strong. Never failing to make them feeling safe and welcome until they embark on their journey to their forever homes.

"Kitty you need kisses."

“Just after his rescue, l rescued a pregnant dog who was too sick to care for her pups so Shiro climbed in with them and started cleaning them. He’s done that with every rescue I take in. He will just sit patiently with the feral cats/kittens and bonds so strongly with them, they trust him before they trust me,” Smith gushed.

Ohmygoodness that face is beyond adorable!

Recently though, Shiro has become friends with a little feral kitty who goes by the name of Tiny Tolley.

Sheryl took in the baby kitten after she found out how sickly and malnourished she was.

Since then, Shiro has never left Tiny Tolley's side.

His face...His smile. I can't get over it!

Shiro waits by her crate, comfort at the ready. Even after the little fuzzball regained it's strength.

When Sheryl puts the kitten on her lap, Shiro comes right up and showers the kitty in kisses.

Super Shiro!

Although it took some time for Tiny Tolley to warm up to Shiro, and to no longer be scared of her new surroundings, she persevered and eventually recovered!
