Despite Her Disability, This Artist Creates Amazing Illustrations With Her Foot

She is the best proof that anything is possible if you really want it.

Approximately one billion people in the world suffer from some form of disability, but they must not be defined by it. Iranian artist Fatemeh Hammami Nasrabadi is the best promoter for that. Even though she is 85 percent paralyzed, she found the motivation and courage to pursue her desire to become a painter. She is creating beautiful portraits using just her feet.

Her fantastic art is an incredible motivation for all people, and it shows us how an illness or health condition doesn’t have to limit us in any way or stop us from pursuing our dreams. It is not easy, and no one said it is. But it is possible if you want it hard enough.

Fatemeh became famous when she drew Cristiano Ronaldo. She is a real soccer fan, and besides her beloved soccer icons, such as Lionel Messi and Iranian star Ali Daei, Fatemeh created paintings of many other celebrities, such as Iranian actors Mehran Modiri, Parviz Parastui, Jamshid Mashayekhi, comedy icon Charlie Chaplin, and singer Selena Gomez among others. She also loves to paint animal portraits and landscapes and has over 96k followers on Instagram.

Fatemeh says that she likes painting portraits the most. She can portray people in detail, often using just colored pencils. Fatemeh has refined her artistic skills with the help of two teachers who uncovered her talent in middle school.

"I love painting faces. When I want to draw a portrait, I start with a curve and round the human face for the beginning to design. This is the law of face painting," said the artist.

Fatemeh wants to inspire others, so she has been sharing the art creation process and advice on Instagram. Needless to say that people are delighted by her passion, patience, and a winning smile.

"The biggest challenge for me is that I have an 85% disability, and that makes it very difficult for me to paint. I only work with one of my legs."

Fatemeh is the second-born of twins and unfortunately suffered oxygen deprivation at birth, which instigated a severe disability. But she did not care about the obstacles and decided to work hard so she could make her dreams come true. Fatemeh became a star in the Iranian art scene and had many exhibits in Tehran. She also writes, and three of her books were published so far.
