New Olive Oil Prank Has Dads Rethinking Their Parenting Methods
A good prank can make all the difference between a hilarious moment and a super awkward, and this prank is a bit of both

When it comes to picking someone to prank you often have to think of the person who has both a fantastic sense of humor and is relatively gullible, otherwise a good prank can turn into a horribly awkward moment that everyone involved would probably pay to forget.
So who is a little behind the times but also loves a good joke? That's right, Dads! Dads around the globe are known for their fantastic humor or in other words, really horrible Dad jokes.
Well now to get them all back for their badly timed jokes kids have created the "olive oil" prank. It's simple really, they're all sending the same picture to their dads claiming that they've put olive oil in their cars instead of motor oil. And lets just say the results have been somewhat... salty.
You can see the full thread on Twitter.
So here is where it begins, Luckily most dads have a good sense of humor.

Most. Some are just worried for their children. Did they really raise them to be like this?

Are you going to disown me? Would you really blame him?

Of course, some times you've got to bail out and just tell dad the truth.

Honestly this harmless prank seems to have had the desired effect

Good laughs all around!

Well, once these people actually tell their dads the truth. Which I really hope they did...

I'm sure most of these dads have been dreading a day like this...

Either the day their kids do something ridiculously stupid, or the day they finally out-joke them.

This however is a perfect example of a dad knowing that their kid isn't that dumb, or that funny.

You've got to love how most of these parents just roll with it

Like, you know what, that's either a joke or their problem, so it doesn't bother me!

Dads: the kings of jokes

Would it be more frustrating to have dad not fall for the joke? Or have to deal with him being upset later?

The PUNS. DAD WHY

This is possibly my favorite response of the lot. Just WTF

Good one, kid. Try again.

This must be a running family joke, but come on dad, you could pretend to be tricked!

You're no fun!

And my second favorite: A dad that completely just doesn't care.

And a dad who sees the bright side! It might not work but it will smell fantastic

Again, not a care in the world! If only they cared that much when you're trying to sneak out at night...

Another admirable "dad" trait. Brutal honesty.

And lastly, a dad handing out promotions. Congratulations kid, you're a dad now!
