Here Are 7 Of The Cutest Baby Otters You'll Ever See, And Their Sweetness Will Leave You In Awe

Who doesn't enjoy seeing otters playing together, holding hands, and rafting on each other's bellies? I know I do. Sea otters are famously adorable creatures that inhabit the northern coastal regions of the Pacific Ocean.

Their charm makes them excellent mascots for environmental protection campaigns, and their significance to the local ecosystems is too numerous to count. The otter is such a cute animal but then, a baby otter is even cuter and you'll see what I mean in a short while.

In addition to being adorable, baby sea otters have fluffy coats that are useful. The extraordinarily dense hair helps keep them from sinking because they trap air and keep them afloat.

It is more challenging for humans to encourage them to groom themselves and learn to swim without an adult otter to model for them. However, they still need to be taught these skills as it can help them immensely.

Orphaned otters get sick easily because they don't receive antibodies from their mother's milk. If you’ve ever had to bottle-feed abandoned kittens or puppies, you may be familiar with the problem.

Wildlife experts have judged that many orphaned otters fostered by people during this challenging time are unsuitable for release. Here are the seven prettiest baby otters that will make your day so much better!

Otters are very social animals, and many of them have no problems with taking care of a pup that is given to them. Sadly, commercial fishing, pollution, and poaching pose threats to sea otters, which occasionally results in newborn otters showing up on the coast alone.

Don't worry, there are still more cute pictures of baby otters to see below...

Due to the fact that they can be endangered, they end up needing to spend their entire lives in captivity because they become too reliant on people to be safe in the wild.

But because aquariums allow for round-the-clock care and the opportunity to teach these adorable otters life skills, even orphaned young animals now have a shot of reaching adulthood.
