Now that almost everything in the world has shifted online, especially communication, reaching out to our families, friends, acquaintances, and even to people we don't know personally has become so much easier and more convenient, especially in the time of the pandemic. Through different messaging platforms, we are able to catch up with our friends, see each other on video even if we are miles away, or even just engage in a controversial discourse with some strangers online.
However, this can have some disadvantages, especially with the way we come across to other people online. Because let's face it, there are plenty of times where our text messages weren't really understood well because of the lack of tone that normal conversations usually have, or we receive messages that are just plain questionable, and sometimes creepy.
Well, we've been there not only once, not twice, but a couple of times already. There are moments where we think that the person we are talking to through text is being mean because they don't have any emojis sent with their messages, or if they take things the wrong way with how short your response was or if you sent "K" instead of "Okay."
But that doesn't stop there, because there are also some texts that are just so cringe-worthy, and it's not just because of the lack of emojis—or the excessive use of it. Just take a look at some of the examples that people shared online because they were simply too cringy not to share!
