We are back again with another entertaining story that was posted up and got so much attention that we just had to cover it over here too. Now this post is actually about a bakery owner who tried to mock a bad review she got, which essentially gave her some really big karma.
It's always fun to start your own business or a little side job, but being your own boss can also come with some negatives. One of those negatives is dealing with bad reviews and being your own customer service worker as well.
This situation honestly sucks all the way through, but we are happy that someone called her out on her baking and overall counterfeit cakes. So with this being said, the story is about a woman who is a baker and goes to social media to call out a bad review she got.
Unfortunately, this didn't work out in her favor because then she got called out about her counterfeit cakes, and this is when people started to realize how bad this was and what she was really up to. If you're interested and want to see the full story, then stay tuned as we dive into the full story.
This situation starts off with bakery owner Kylie Cakes Desert Bar and Cafe as she gets a bad review, and come to TikTok to air it out.
This didn't exactly go according to plan because it backfired on her heavily and the customer actually came back with some really valid points after seeing her video.
This unfortunately, for the baker, blew up and now everyone is aware of this situation and the flakiness of that baker.
Kylie AllenThis response is the one that went viral and everyone started talking about this whole situation. You can see in this video all the points being made and the responses that she was giving.
They even go on to share the cake that they were inspired by or that the person deserved, opposed to the cake that the baker was giving her.
The customer aired her out and showed the messages and also explains more of what exactly the issue is and why she was so upset with this cake design.
afreebirdThey went back and forth a lot which brought in her loyal customers as well as internet users who were unbiased. Eventually there was so much backlash that she ended up deactivating comments on her posts.
This is when people went digging on Kylie's history and where she got her cake designs from. She claims they are all original to her, but as we can see from the digging, they aren't.
People all over decided to give their opinion on Kylie and how she did her cakes. Essentially, she was not too happy about this situation and she wasn't happy with all the backlash she was getting.
People named this the CakeGate of 2023 and we think that's a pretty great name for this whole situation.
We are sad that the customer didn't get what she wanted, but maybe someone needed to tell Kylie what needed to be done. Ultimately, if she's stealing from others or if she's ripping people off for it, then yes, it is an issue, and she deserves to be called out for it.
What do you think? Did she deserve it?
