15 Pet Owners Imagine What Their Cats And Dogs Must Have Felt When They First Brought Them Home

"The best way to grab their attention was by making these animals chunky"
Annada Menon is a published illustrator based in India. She produced these illustrations to lighten people’s moods.
She also wants people to value all animals equally and not pick and choose which animals they consider to be their favorites. Making them chunky was the best approach to getting their attention.
This appeared to be the most effective technique to extend their horizons and make all animals appear equally endearing. Annada believes that art occupies 80% of her life.
"If I am not working on commissions, I am creating personal work where I explore various styles and themes. The other 20% goes into learning how to eat better, hooping, petting cats, watching heart-melting animal videos, and manifesting a pet," she says.
The artist has a background in art education as she did her bachelor’s in Visual Arts at the College of Fine Arts in Bangalore (Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath). When the artist was about fifteen years old and in school, she had a deep affinity for traditional media.
As a result, she decided to apply for a painting specialization after she graduated. She spent three years as a user interface designer after she graduated, which was completely unrelated to what she had studied or how she had envisioned exploring art.
Let’s look into some of the artist’s work as she hopes this will brighten the situation for anyone who is now experiencing hardship.

A series is incomplete without a muse—Spotty is a stray cat that lives in my society in Pune, India. He isn’t this chonky either, but he is a fat boi.
Annada says that the magic of how it works is what inspires her passion for illustration. Sometimes we don't appreciate how precious the visual language is, but the artist has the opportunity to shape my work in a way that both supports my personal development and may be employed to shape the thoughts of others.
