HR officials stepped in and placed her on full pay suspension—amidst reports alleging "dishonesty"—awaiting the conclusion of an internal investigation.

Insiders revealed that the woman had insisted on maintaining regular contact with her embattled boss among the 1,600 employees at the highly successful F1 team's headquarters in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.

Former racing driver Horner fielded a dozen questions about the scandal and expressed his desire to "draw a line" under it.

Despite Red Bull's world champion driver Max Verstappen clinching victory in the season opener, the team remained entangled in the controversy surrounding Horner.Geri urged her husband to sever all ties with his accuser, but complying proved difficult as they continued to interact regularly at work.

Reportedly, Horner felt frustrated with the need to "maintain appearances" at Red Bull's headquarters, where every employee is aware of the identity of his accuser.The aide, who sported her own monogrammed Red Bull pit suit, was said to have instructed lawyers to resist any attempts to diminish her role at every opportunity.

“The big talk in F1 circles right now is how she can afford to retain top lawyers on her relatively modest salary.”

The situation has also been complicated by behind-the-scenes tensions between Horner and star driver Verstappen’s father, Jos.

Insiders revealed that Verstappen Sr. had developed a close relationship with the female employee.While he has denied being the one who leaked the texts, he has cautioned that Red Bull will face serious repercussions if Horner remains in his position.

On Wednesday, Max sided with his father, affirming, “My dad is always very candid. He’s not someone who lies, that's for certain.”Horner was spotted conversing with Verstappen Jr. yesterday during practice in Jeddah for the upcoming race weekend.

He downplayed what seemed to be a public disagreement with Verstappen Sr. last weekend, which was captured on video.

The Red Bull team principal, who earns £8 million a year, remarked, “I’m obviously aware of the comments made. There was a discussion after the Bahrain Grand Prix.

“I spoke to Jos after the race and congratulated him on his son’s performance.

“I believe it’s in everyone’s best interest that we’ve agreed to look ahead. We share a common interest in ensuring the best for his son.”

Last week, Jos commented on Horner, stating, “He's playing the victim, even though he's the one causing the issues.”
