Every now and then, practically every parent has been told that his child is his clone and looks exactly like him. But studies show that this alleged similarity is not accurate in most cases.

Researchers from the University of California at San Diego say "Children, in general, do not look enough like their parents for a resemblance to be detected." But there are always exceptions, like the fact, one-year-olds almost always look like their fathers.

Nature has its own explanation for that. Naturally, women start to develop their relationship with the baby during pregnancy.

This special bond evolves into a strong one until the time comes to meet the baby in person. But fathers don't have that honors, so their bond is more psychical.

And nature has decided to give them something in return, to make it up for that period and help them quickly realize it's their baby, in order to get used to new circumstances as soon as possible. According to studies, in 80 percent of families, one-year-olds look like their fathers.

Although we are aware that genetics is a miracle and that it works from deep roots when it comes to children and their looks, we are still limited only to their parents. Whenever we see a baby, we always begin to analyze if it looks like a mother or a father, ignoring the reality that children can look like any relative.
