Hilarious Cats Who Got More Than They Bargained For And Immediately Regretted Everything
So much regret.

When discussing cat intelligence, it's impossible to argue that cats are stupid. They're certainly not stupid but people often compare them to dogs. According to Psychology Today:
Dogs have been domesticated for thousands of years to excel at social tasks, whereas cats have not. There is a reason for that: Cats are more impulsive than dogs and have far less patience. They don't easily tolerate frustrating situations for long periods of time. If an activity isn't obviously rewarding to them, they would rather do something else. Dogs will do almost anything for a treat or a smile on their owner's face. Dogs clearly have a higher social IQ than cats but cats can solve harder cognitive problems, if indeed they feel like it.
So, our cats are smart but cats are quite the problem solvers. Which makes it that much more hilarious when they make a terrible decision and regret it immediately. Don't believe me? I've got the proof:
#1 So much styrofoam.
It seems liked a good idea to jump into a box, but it was not such a good idea.

#5 I'm not even sure how this is paws-ible.
But I hope this picture took 2 seconds and the owner got the poor cat out.

#8

#9

#10 Cats are curious by nature.
But sometimes nature doesn't appreciate curiosity. Case in point:

#11

#12

#13

#14

#15 Sometimes a spot looks cozy...
But it is anything other than cozy.

#16

#17

#18

#19

#20 "I just wanted to bring my toy outside."
I hope he wasn't moving too fast when he rammed into the doorway.

#21

#22

#23

#24

#25 Whatever it was you were trying to catch or look at...
It was definitely not worth it.

#26

#27

#28

#29

#30 And we all fall down.
NOT cozy.

#31

#32

#33

#34

#35 A ball of yarn is all fun and games...
Until you are stuck and completely tangled in the yarn.

#36

#37

#38

#39

#40 How does this even happen?
We may never know.

#41

#42

#43

#44

#45 I have so many questions.
And most of them involve how the cat got in.

#46

#47

#48

#49

#50 Moments before regret.
Embarrassing, horrible regret in 3, 2, 1...

#51

#52

#53

#54

#55 Oh no!
Sometimes puppies love the baby swing. Cats however... do not.

#56

#57

#58

#59

#60 I'm not sure what's happening exactly...
But that cat's face definitely says, "I regret everything."

#61

#62

#63

#64

#65 Problem Solving gone awry.
Now you're in a real conundrum, pal.

#66

#67

#68

#69

#70 All packed and ready to go.
Anywhere, just don't leave kitty behind.

#71

#72

#73

#74

#75 What is it with cats and plastic?
And getting trapped dangerously in plastic?

#76

#77

#78

#79

#80 Portal
But with cats.

#81

#82

#83

#84

#85 "How dare you?"
This is no one's fault but your own, cat.

#86

#87

#88

#89

#90 Perched and ready to fall.
It's going to be a CATastrophe.

#91

#92

#93

#94

#95 I guess not all cats appreciate the message on the box.
Or the association.

#96

#97

#98

#99

#100 Contemplating life.
Experiencing regret? Yep.

#101

#102

#103

#104

#105 This is definitely going to end horribly.
With broken glass and spilled booze.

#106

#107

#108

#109

#110 Sometimes internal self reflection looks like this.
This is what regret looks like, by the way.

#111

#112

#113

#114

#115 Trapped a Cat
He's not pleased.

#116

#117

#118

#119

#120 A cuddle session gone wrong?
I'd say it sounded cozier than it was in reality.

#121

#122

#123

#124

#125 I'm not sure this counts as regret.
This actually looks quite pleasant.

#126

#127

#128

#129

#130 Sniff, sniff.
"Dis look like nomz."

#131

#132

#133

#134

#135 I think the real regret here comes from the hoo-man...
Because bites.

#136

#137

#138

#139

#140 A frying pan?
Sizzle.

#141

#142

#143

#144

#145 Impressive ascention
But the fall will be iconic.

#146

#147

#148

#149

#150 I'm not sure what she's regretting...
But she is B-E-A-utiful.

#151

#152

#153

#154

#155 PAWS UP
Busted, pal.
