For animal lovers who either own or don't own felines, a cat café is like a paradise. In these themed coffee shops, you can order drinks while hanging out with friends, working, or simply passing time, with the added benefit of getting to meet and spend time with feline friends.
It was in Taiwan when the first cat cafe opened in 1998. This establishment eventually turned into a cafe for dogs and cats.
Soon, Japan followed suit, and Neko no Jikan was opened in Osaka in 2004. Today, there are lots of cat cafés in East Asian as well as Southeast Asian countries.
And just recently, the first cat cafe opened in Tampa, Florida. The coffee shop is called Cats & Caffeine.
According to their website, the café gives rescued cats a unique foster home in their lounge, providing them with a safe space where they can thrive. The staff allows the cats to roam around the environment so that people can bond with them.
The cats have plenty of room for their mini adventures. This is also an opportunity for the cats to get to know their potential forever family.
If the customer bonds with a cat, they can adopt it. Cats & Caffeine has a very elegant and pleasant lounge.
The walls are painted bright pink, and the furniture is mostly pastel-colored too. It's definitely a place where cat lovers can chill with different cat friends.
A rescue named Chandler is a temporary resident of the lounge. He was rescued together with his small siblings.
This is Cats & Caffeine, foster home to cats with different kinds of purrsonalities.
One of its rescues is a cat named Chandler, who was rescued by Cat Lovers Inc. He was heavily injured when he was found together with his siblings.
The picture you're about to see below this might be disturbing for some people.
Cats & CaffeineThe poor cat lost his eye at an early age, and it looked unpleasant.
The rescuers are guessing that some other cat clawed his eye. His sibling, Fritz, wasn't so lucky either.
He needed an expensive leg amputation. Despite getting heavily injured, both showed astonishing and inspiring resilience
They coped quite well. It's incredible how cats can overcome such hardships, but it also tells us how tough their lives can be when they're left to fend for themselves in the streets.
Cats & CaffeineThis is where Chandler spent his days as a fostered cat.
Chandler was too young to undergo an eye surgery, so the rescuers decided to do this procedure once he got older. In some cases, kittens with the same injury heal miraculously.
But this wasn't the case for Chandler. It was his destiny to live the rest of his life as a pirate feline.
Fortunately, he was able to adapt even only with one eye.
Cats & CaffeineChandler is one goofy creature even though he lost his eye. Lots of the café's visitors adore him so much.
Being blind in one eye has never stopped him from zooming around the cafe & showing endless love💗.
