Cats in the Internet world are mainly the subject of memes and adorable reaction photos as substitutes for GIFs, and we can't seem to get enough of them! While cats are usually perceived to be aloof and sneaky, they can sure be loving and affectionate as well.

When a Facebook user named Liel Ainmar Assayag posted documentation of her cat's peculiar behavior throughout her pregnancy journey, the story certainly caught a lot of eyes and hearts with how adorably sweet her cat is! Even before Liel's son was born, the cat already displayed a heartwarming amount of affection by staying near her owner's belly.

Stories like this are certainly the highlight of social media—especially ones that involve a healthy dose of cuteness overload. Having a baby and a pet animal can be a taxing job for others, but for Liel, she was quite lucky that her cat helped her throughout this important milestone in her life.

Come to think of it, having pets and kids can be quite rowdy, and you will sometimes wonder if they will ever get along, especially if the said pet can be quite territorial. But Liel was certainly one of the fortunate ones that witnessed her adopted cat's devotion in loving her kid, even way before he was born.

Meet Panda!

Here's Liel's adopted cat and she's called Panda. Liel made sure to capture all her "guardian" moments throughout her pregnancy.

Panda seemed so sure and determined in protecting this baby from the belly. Throughout the nine months of Liel's pregnancy, Panda was always there, ready to snuggle and hug her belly.

Panda even goes out of the way in displaying her love by completely hugging her owner's body, paws and all. It's certainly a sight to melt for.

Seeing a cat so affectionate is honestly a wonderful moment to see, and it's even more special if you are on the receiving end of it. Panda seems so at peace snuggling in and protecting the belly from harm.

Not only that she's doing a good job, she does it so consistently and loyally, too! Looks like she's really committed to serve as a guardian for Liel's still yet-to-be-born baby.

Once the baby arrived, Panda was sure to remain committed in her role. The cat can't seem to keep her paws off the baby!
