Having a cat is great, cats are companions and our kitties can make even the loneliest of people feel less alone just by being around. Cats can be sweet and cuddly and even playful.

My cat catches spiders that I might otherwise have to deal with myself, and I love her for that. She's also a natural alarm clock and always reliably makes sure I'm not late for work.

I guess the one thing that's lacking about a cat (as opposed to a human house-mate) is the fact that cats can't really chat with us. Oh how many nights we've longed for a cat chat.

Cats come when we call them, and cats are pretty good listeners, but we are typically left wondering what the hell is going on when they incessantly meow at us. This is especially true when we think about how every cat has multiple different kinds of meows.

Well, this may not be a problem for much longer! MeowTalk is an app designed to translate your cat's meows. The app blew up when initially launched which caught the creator time pretty off guard.

It supports 9 'general intents' out of the box and the creators are looking to add more. Their ultimate goal is to create a cat collar that translates are the cat is meowing, which does sound cool.

In saying all these, it seems like MeowTalk still has some kinks to iron out! Check out the app interface and some of the initial reviews below!
