Britney Spears Appears To Say Sorry To Justin Timberlake In Light Of Memoir Revelations

Looks like Britney Spears is reaching out to Justin Timberlake in the wake of her revelations in her latest memoir, "The Woman in Me." In an Instagram post shared on January 28, the 42-year-old songstress expressed remorse for certain aspects of her book, stating:

I wanna apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book. If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry.

Subsequently, Spears made her Instagram account private. Its access is limited only to her 42.5 million existing followers.

The caption accompanied a video featuring Timberlake from a recent episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The singer writes:

I also wanted to say I am in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song Selfish… It is soo [sic] good and how come every time I see Justin and Jimmy together I laugh so hard ??? Ps Sanctified is wow too

The memoir delved into intimate aspects of Spears' relationship with Timberlake spanning from 1999 to 2002. It revealed Timberlake's infidelity and Spears' decision to undergo an abortion after Timberlake expressed disinterest in fatherhood when she became pregnant.

Regarded as Britney Spears' initial platform to share her narrative, the book came following her liberation from the conservatorship, offering her a voice to speak out.

Spears appeared to address her apology towards her former boyfriend Timberlake, with whom she was romantically involved from 1999 to 2002.

At the pinnacle of their fame, they orchestrated their most notorious appearance as a couple, gracing the American Music Awards red carpet while donning matching denim attire.

Timberlake allegedly called it quits with Spears through a text message. The period following their breakup was particularly challenging for the Princess of Pop, who revealed in her memoir that she scarcely went outside her home at the time.

Spears writes about the pregnancy in her book.

It was a surprise, but for me, it wasn’t a tragedy. I loved Justin so much. I always expected us to have a family together one day. This would just be much earlier than I’d anticipated. But Justin definitely wasn’t happy about the pregnancy. He said we weren’t ready to have a baby in our lives, that we were way too young.

In her writing, Spears knew that some people would hold animosity towards her for disclosing the abortion.

I don’t know if that was the right decision. If it had been left up to me alone, I never would have done it. And yet Justin was so sure that he didn’t want to be a father.
