Having kids means that you've signed up to assume responsibility for them. It's not going to be easy, but you have to find a way to make it work because you're the parent here.
On the days you won't be available to care for them, you have to find and pay for babysitters. You can't expect other people to watch your kids just because you believe they are free to.
The OP works in a food service establishment. All the employees work with the food in the back and then hand it to the customers at the front counter.
OP's coworker usually can’t find a babysitter or daycare 9 to 10 of the times she comes to work. So she takes her kids to work and keeps them in the back.
They’re really hyperactive kids, so she brings a portable crib and an iPad to keep them occupied. Normally, this coworker would tell the OP to watch her kids while she is out.
Usually, the OP has no problem doing so if the store is empty since she's usually in the back anyway. But when they are in rush hour and she does this, it’s literally impossible for the OP to care for them.
She had to attend to customers one day, so she left the kids, but guess who came berating her for it? Well, keep scrolling to read the entire story for yourself.

Reddit/HotWall1967OP has offered the following explanation for why they think they might be the AH:
I agreed with a customer who said it’s not my responsibility to watch my coworker’s kids. This might make me the AH because she struggles to find a daycare for her kids and has to take them to work with her.

Reddit/HotWall1967Redditors say the OP's employer is a huge AH as he's supposed to know that raising children in such an environment may land him in trouble if something were to happen to them or if customers began to complain. It appears that the OP is in a losing situation, and the supervisor is on the co-worker's side.
If there are other workers who perform the same tasks as the OP, she should try to arrange to switch shifts with them. Even if the OP's not at fault, some Redditors think it would be preferable for her to look for another work.
