Irish Man Pranks His Loved Ones From Beyond The Grave With Pre-Recorded Message
He gave them the gift of laughter.

Grief can be so complex and is processed differently by every unique individual. However, for Irish man Shay Bradley, he was determined that his loved ones would celebrate his life and mourn him in the same fashion they lived along side him: with laughter.
Well known for being a loving, light-hearted prankster who thrived on making his friends and family laugh, Shay pre-recorded a tape to be played during his funeral as his casket was lowered into the grave. The unexpected recording took everyone by surprise at first, but turned their tears of grief into tears of laughter and left yet another lasting impression.
Shay Bradley was from Dublin, Ireland and the proud grandfather of 8. His wife, Anne Bradley told Bored Panda:
Shay was a prankster, always thought outside the box and wanted to leave his family laughing. He was a larger than life character and sadly missed by anyone who knew him.

True to his fashion, Shay had recorded something to play at his funeral, according to his wife it was recorded over a year before his passing and she only learned about it the day before his funeral! Only his closest family members were aware of it at all.
On the day of his funeral, as his loved ones gathered around his casket being lowered into the open grave... a sudden and completely unexpected voice booms out of nowhere, "Hello?" Next,a loud banging... it seemed to be coming out of the casket!

Mourners can be seen in the now viral video looking around at first, confused. Then, as the music of classic bagpipes faded away, the voice continues: “Let me out, it’s dark in here”.
Chloe Kiernan, Bradley's granddaughter, told Mashable:
Everyone else was shocked when [they] first heard it, everyone else thought it was real and you could hear 'is that Shay is that Shay' but gradually as things went on people [realized] he had prerecorded and everyone (apart from the priest and woman beside him) were in hysterics.

It was then, that his loved ones realized what was happening.
Laughter began to cycle through the mourners and Shay's voice echoed again:
"Let me out, is that a priest I can hear?"

Shay's daughter, Andrea Bradley uploaded the hilarious video to the Internet, captioning it on Facebook:
My dad’s dying wish, always the prankster, ya got them good Poppabear and gave us all a laugh just when we needed it!! I will love you forever #shayslastlaugh

Truly, Shay was on to something though, because his sense of humor and the gift of laughter he bestowed on his loved ones has touched the Internet.
Chloe Kiernan said:
It was beautiful to hear his voice and it just made me happy as that was him, so funny and always making others laugh, he’s such a bright character, he would be loving this right now.

People reflected fondly on Shay, even as a stranger on the Internet.

Laughter is a gift.

Luck of the Irish? More like laughter of the Irish!

We need this in the world.

No sadness allowed, only joy.

Loads of laughter is a good thing.
