Woman And A Bear Go Fishing Together And Their Photos Look Like Real Life Disney Scenes

It's not every day you see a woman and a grown bear fishing side by side in a lake.

Humans living harmoniously with animals that we usually see as wild and feral is something that we only typically see in movies and fairytales for kids. A wholesome story of a human and an animal is not really an uncommon thing, but to say that a bear and a human were seen on a boat fishing side by side is not something that you would believe out of hearsay.

That is exactly what happened here—a woman and a gentle giant peacefully spending their time together in a lake and yes, they are both fishing. It's certainly a sight to behold, and one that you don't see every day.

Bears are definitely a peculiar pet to have as they are quite larger and broader than your average human size, but this woman doesn't seem to be bothered by it at all, as they have formed a deep connection together for the years they were together. It's a bizarre thing to think, though, that this woman saw this bear and thought that she wanted it as a pet!

But to her defense, she actually rescued the gentle giant from a safari park that went out of business years ago as the bear cannot be released back into the wild because he was bred in captivity his whole life. It's a wondrous thing that she and the brown bear formed this friendship throughout the years.

Meet Veronika and her friend Archie.

Fishing is one of their favorite activities and they do it almost on a daily basis. Here they are sitting and talking in a boat while doing so—and they almost seem like they came straight from a Disney movie!

Archie, the bear, was rescued from a safari park because he was not fit to be freed into the wild as he was kept in captivity all his life. His life definitely turned around when he met Veronika, the kindhearted woman that decided to look after him.

They share a beautiful, no matter how unusual, friendship.

They like to fish together on a lake in Novosibirsk, Russia.

And it's a good thing they do, because their photos truly look like something out of a fairytale, because let's face it, we didn't know this was possible until now. They both are a fan of experiencing new adventures, but fishing remains to be their favorite activity together.

They formed a very special bond throughout the years.

“Archie spends every day with us and is madly in love with water,” Veronica said. “He loves it very much when I take him to new places. We are like family, we share food, sleep in my arms when afraid, and hide behind me. We rescued him from the safari park but can’t release him into the wild as he has lived in captivity his whole life.”

Photos of them have gone viral on social media, because hey, it's not every day you get to see a woman with a pet bear on a boat peacefully sitting and fishing together.

Stories like this will always make us wonder what kind of world we would have if all humans and animals lived harmoniously together and let's face it, we would all feel like we are on a Disney film when this does happen. Nevertheless, we are all thankful to Veronika for giving this bear a chance and for showing us that this friendship is indeed possible!
