What elephant?
There are around 2,000 elephants living in the wild in Thailand, and one of them made headlines all over the world. A young elephant was filmed in Chiang Mai, perpetrating the naughtiest “crime” ever—the lively elephant was munching on some sugarcanes in a cultivated field when it was approached by locals.
They caught him by surprise, and the poor animal did the only thing it could. Trying to avoid detection, the endearing baby elephant hid behind a thin post, making the locals and thousands of people on the Internet laugh their heads off. Take a look at his clumsy and adorable disappearing act.
The baby elephant obviously ran into some tasty sugarcane and decided to have a bite. But it didn’t expect people to find out, and when they did, the naughty baby hid behind a thin pole, thinking no one could see it.
When the locals flashed a light on the baby elephant and its obvious hiding spot, it stayed perfectly still, hoping it wouldn’t be noticed.
The funny picture was initially shared on Facebook with a caption, translated from Thai, that wrote: “Keep calm. Officers will see. Let’s continue eating sugarcane.”
This photo cracked thousands of people up. More than 3k people liked the post, and more than 1k reshared it. The cute photo immediately spread to other social media, including Reddit, Twitter, and Imgur...
