Purr-fection in the form of a little, rescued family.
When it comes to the rescue and rehabilitation of abandoned and stray cats, rescue volunteers and workers know the "work" seems never-ending, and it isn't always rewarding. Sometimes, though, a special cat's story will transform lives and hearts through the work of rescue, and those stories never get old.
Belle was one such a cat, abandoned and left behind, presumably when her family moved far away from their home and left her behind, she was described as affectionate from day one by the rescue volunteers who worked with her. But she was abandoned at some point, and she did require rescuing, and it's hard to see the positives in that sadness.
The cat was homeless and being generally taken care of by neighbors, but when temperatures dropped as Winter began to rage, they contacted LAPS for assistance.
LAPS Foster Kittens said:
“She was a companion until her human moved and sadly left without her. Being a trusting and affectionate girl from the day we brought her home, we believe she was loved.”
Who, shortly after the New Year had a litter of purr-fectly precious, black panther kittens!
"Rather than being left alone outside to birth and care for 6 kittens in this cold winter weather, Belle has been given a safe place to live with her new babies."
"The tiny "panthers" follow mama Belle everywhere she goes, learning how to be a big kitty from their momma."
LAPS, a non profit organization, will make sure all of these purr-fectly precious kittens find the right forever homes. Thank goodness!
