Her husband thought a birthday cake designed to look like an Amazon parcel would be perfect for someone who can't stop shopping online and he was right
E-commerce giant, Amazon was founded in 1994. Since then it has diversified into a variety of business ventures. Despite that, it’s most popular and most discussed venture is still its online shopping/shipping. From the wide variety of products to the working conditions of the factories, Amazon is getting a lot of publicity these days and people are undeniably getting caught up in Amazon hype.
One woman who is definitely getting caught up in the hype is Emily McGuire who apparently was making purchases from the company so often that her husband thought a birthday cake designed to look like an Amazon parcel would be perfect and the results are brilliant.
The couple have been together for 19 years and have been married for the last 12. In that time, Emily’s husband Mac has always paid attention to details of her life although is apparently not one to organise many surprises.
On the topic of the surprise Emily had this to say “this one is one to remember for sure”.
At first glance, Emily thought that it was indeed a parcel from Amazon due to the fine details that make it look almost indistinguishable from the real thing.
“At first I thought it was a box, then when I realized it wasn’t I laughed so hard. I really felt like he finally gets me! ”
The cake which came complete with packing labels and tape was made by Sweet Dreams Bakery of Dunn and cost around $50. Emily was so impressed with the cake that she had to meet the talented individual who made it.
Emily loved the cake so Mapuche and was so impressed with the detail that she had to share it online.
“Now it’s a running joke in our house about how many packages we receive in the mail,” she said.
Emily wasn’t the only one impressed with the cake. Here is what others had to say.
What do you think of this cake? How often do you use Amazon?
