It's all about perspective.

Someone once said that life is all about perspective. And, thanks to the 'Alternate Angles' subreddit, we have access to a plethora of different views of famous images.
Take the Sphinx, for example. You will undoubtedly have seen many images of the Egyptian statue, but have you ever seen it from behind?
What about the Sydney Opera House? Have you ever seen what it looks like from above?
The Alternate Angles online community is dedicated to sharing a new perspective of "iconic events and places in history beyond the traditional well-known photos and videos." The subreddit was created in 2019 and has become increasingly popular over the past couple of years, with more than 132k members.
"The origins are really quite simple," the mod team explained. "A comment in another subreddit of famous pictures suggested that someone should create a sub of different views of famous pictures, which led to the creation of r/AlternateAngles by u/Murkon and another Redditor, who decided to step down and is no longer a moderator."
The moderators say that the subreddit "can be summed up by a rule: Limit all submissions to alternate views, or unique perspectives, of well-known locations, items, people, and events. An alternate angle of your kitchen does not qualify, but Gordon Ramsay's kitchen does."
Keep scrolling to see some of the mod's favorite photos. From the Statue of Liberty to famous album covers, we've got them all covered!
